INFANTS
We offer quality care for ages 6 weeks-12 months. Children are provided loving, nurturing care in an environment that is clean, safe, and home-like. Teachers provide one-on-one care for every infant and develop lesson plans individually based on each child's development and milestones. Parents are provided daily commincation through personal contact and daily sheets that allow parents important information on every aspect of their child's day. We use Baby Signs in the infant and toddler classes. Parents and grandparents are welcome to visit at any time. Teachers follow the feeding and sleeping schedules are requested by the parents. Older infants are provided opportunities for art and sensory play. We follow very strict sick-child policies and cleaning schedules to ensure that our environment is healthy for every child.
TODDLER
We care for children 12 months-23 months in our toddler program. The toddler classroom follows a very consistent daily routine. Children gather for circle time in which they get to hear many stories, songs, and finger plays to learn and have fun. Children are provided daily opportunities for creative art--from finger painting to play dough, or watercolors to feather-art, children are able to create and work on their fine motor skills. We work on language development and also teach children how to handle their emotions by teaching "soft touches" and using their words when angry. Parents receive daily sheets that highlight their child's day and what they learned throughout the day.
TWOS
The preschool program offers two year olds an opporunity to explore, be creative, and learn through their senses and hands-on play. We work on potty-training and work together in large and small groups. Teachers make learning fun through transitional songs, creative movement, and music activities. Parents also receive daily sheets to highlight what each child worked on during the day The daily sheet also notes bathroom uses throughout the day.
THREES
Our three-year-old program offers a curriculum that provides a balance between teacher directed activites and child initiated play. Children participate in circle time to read books that relate to the themed unit they are working on. Children learn the days of the week, the months, letters, numbers, and shapes. Children participate in small group activities to work on their writing skills and create fun art projects.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN
The goal of our pre-kindergarden program is to prepare children for success in school and provide them a head-start into Kindergarten. Children learn how to follow directions, have fun with science and hand-on projects, and how to socialize with other children. Our pre-kindergarten program offers computers in the classroom, a listening center, science, math, dramatic play, writing, creative arts, blocks, and reading. Children are exposed to a wide variety of literature, language (Spanish & English), science projects, writing practice, and self help activities. We give the children daily opportunities for responsibility in the classroom. We implement the Plan-Do-Review process within the HighScope Approach to learning in our program. Children discuss with the teacher what they will be learning during the day and what activities they will have available, and after participating through out the day, they gather at the end of the day for a review of what the experienced and what they learned from their activties.
